Drawings in conté, ink or pencil and paintings in oils, acrylics or pastels.
The procedure:
An initial consultation in all cases to discuss, dress, background, medium, size, availability of sitter and price.
Oil and pastel paintings:
Quick studies in oils or acrylic can take place in one day. A minimum of four hours should be set aside for a sitting.
More detailed and larger paintings will require two to three sittings of at least 2 hours each. This can take place at the artist’s studio or your home.
- The first sitting will be for sketching.
- The second sitting to lay down the basics in oils
- The third sitting, to start colour.
Some work will be completed in between sittings.
For drawings in conté or ink, one sitting of 3 hours will be required.
In the case of very young children, and if the sitter is not available for sufficient time, photographs will be taken to use as reference.

- Prices quoted are per person for minimum siz quoted.
- Paintings of two or more people on one canvas, 10% discount.
- Other size options can be discussed.
- Complex backgrounds will incur a further charge.
- All work is produced using the finest artist’s quality materials.
- Oils and acrylics will require a coat of specialist varnish approximately 6-months to one year after completion. There is no extra charge.
