Ah the face, the human face. I find nothing more interesting to draw and paint. I can draw and paint what I see but my challenge is to get deeper into the soul, the human essence. How has life shaped and molded this individual? What do I see and feel? That is what I attempt to portray
Drawing and painting from childhood, schooling at Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and many years of classes in drawing culminating with classical painting with Irena Korosec( Bohemiarte School of Montreal) has led me to where I am today. Every time I put pencil to paper or brush to canvas I learn something. This is the most wonderful Journey of discovery.
Teaching classical drawing for the past two years has been invaluable. I learn as much from my students as they do. To inspire and to be inspired- I am so lucky, so grateful.
