Ian Baggley
My formal training was completed at the Toronto School of Art where my focus was drawing and painting. I was awarded both the Barbara Barrett and the Mathew David scholarship.
I love oil paint-its history and how feels and smells. When I paint, I want to see where the painting takes me and be surprised by the end result.
I love portraiture-character, uniqueness, time, energy, truth. All these and more continue to compel me to capture the power that only a portrait can transmit.
