I am a realist painter because I find my inspiration in the perfect beauty of the visual world around me. Excellence in visual expression has always been my goal. I want the subject of my painting to attract your eye and soul, to move you, and the paint it is crafted from becomes the poetry it is set in. I feel that every face, every scene, every object has its own beauty and harmony. In that, I love to be entranced by the environment and I express the things one would only notice after patience and time has been spent. I work in the classical manner with oil paint, layer upon layer, glaze and scumble, to create effects that cameras cannot capture, but the eye appreciates.
