Laurel Alanna McBrine

Laurel has received awards and accolades for her artistic abilities since childhood.

She became fascinated with portraiture at an early age, and was inspired to draw copies of famous paintings, followed by live subjects. Since graduating from Sheridan College, Laurel has deepened her knowledge of color and technique by studying with many skilled figurative artists.

Laurel endeavors to accurately capture the likeness and personality of her subjects in a painterly and impressionistic environment.

To achieve an image with the most impact, she prefers to portray the person at or near life size. The resulting oil painting, made with the finest quality materials and methods, is sure to become a treasured family heirloom.
